The same system is accelerating the safety of the world’s airspace for urban air mobility Fortem products have been developed and tested over several years through US Department of Defense (DoD) applications and are now available for commercial use.

Based in Pleasant Grove, Utah, the company is privately held and backed by Toshiba, Boeing, DCVC, Mubadala Investment Company, Signia Venture Partners and others.

Jon D. Gruen
CEO
A native of Oakland, California, Jon D. Gruen graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 1997 with a bachelor’s degree in Physics (Oceanography). Jon’s active-duty assignments included SEAL TEAM ONE, NAVAL SPECIAL WARFARE UNIT TWO, and SEAL TEAM THREE where he served in increasing SEAL Platoon and Task Unit leadership roles in Operation Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan) and Operation Iraqi Freedom.

In his civilian career, Jon served as a Business Development Principal at Lockheed Martin where he won over $10B in program value. Jon holds a Master of Business Administration from the Haas School of Business at the University of California - Berkeley.
